Powwow Bank Restoration
The East Kingston Conservation Commission has received approvals and necessary permits to restore and improve the bank at the Railroad parcel residents-only town beach. See the Plan for Bank Restoration.
The project will require donations from citizens like you to see it to fruition. Everyone can play a part in this, and every donation makes a difference. Purchase a brick with your name, company, organization or in memory of a person, pet or special event at https://4everbricks.com/donors/ekcc/. Your donated brick will be part of a permanent installation on the town beach patio (following project completion in 2024).
The Powwow Project will address the erosion that has occurred and prevent future erosion with retaining structures:
- The eroded beach will be built up
- Old dying trees will be removed
- A stairway with a railing down to the water will be installed
- Native plants will be planted, and
- A brick patio will be laid.
Bidders can get a Project Overview (Complete contract documents are available at Town Select Board's office)
