About

East Kingston was established in 1738.

East Kingston is primarily a residential and agricultural community that proudly clings onto its rural roots. The town center and business district provides a small business community which includes Jones General Store, Rt. 107 Grille and numerous other businesses. On the seasonal side is Monahan's Farm Stand for fresh fruits and vegetables located in the heart of town. Horse farms are also abundant and operating in East Kingston.

Many residents commute out of town to work. Boston is 45 minutes away; Routes 93, 495 and 95 are all easily accessible from town. Portsmouth and Manchester are within 30 minutes and Exeter is 10 minutes travel time. Commuting residents returning home can escape to a small rural town after an easy commute either to work or larger community activities.

East Kingston is committed to preserving the rural character and environment of the town. The Conservation Committee has worked over the last several years in acquiring large tracks of land to maintain the rural character.

Students in East Kingston attend the East Kingston Elementary School for grades K thru 5 providing a nurturing small community for our young children.
