Dog Licensing Reminder

Please remember to license your dog(s) annually by April 30th. All dogs, 4 months of age or older, must be licensed with the Town Clerk pursuant to RSA 466:1. A valid rabies certificate and proof of spaying/neutering are required for licensing.

Fee Schedule:

Male/Female: $9.00
Neutered/Spayed $6.50
Puppy: $6.50
Senior Citizens
  (1st animal only):

$2.00

Supervisors of the Checklist

The Supervisors of the Checklist of East Kingston, New Hampshire will meet on Saturday, February 27, 2010 from 11:00 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. at the Pound School for the purpose of registering new voters and making corrections to the Checklist. Residents may also register at the Town Clerk/Tax Collector’s office during normal business hours.

This is the last day for Town Clerk/Supervisors to accept voter registration applications. No additions or corrections shall be made to the Checklist after February 27, 2010 until Election Day, which is March 9, 2010 at which time the polls will be open from 8:00 a.m. to 7:00 p.m. at the East Kingston Elementary School.

The East Kingston Planning Board extends an invitation to take part in a forum 11/7/09 to discuss options to accommodate new areas for commercial and business development in town. View flyer (pdf).

The East Kingston Elementary School Board invites you to attend a community forum in regards to the Richard E. Sargent Trust, a gift of $300,000 to the town of East Kingston for school purposes. Dragon Mosquito will be spraying East Kingston School Fields and Foss Wasson Field on Friday evening, Sept 4th. People can use the fields the next day.

2009 Dog License Reminder:

A reminder that 2009 dog licenses are available in the Town Clerk’s Office. State law requires that every owner/keeper of dogs 4 months old or older shall annually, on or before April 30th, license his/her dog(s). Proof of a current rabies vaccination must be provided, unless it is already current and on file in the Town Clerk’s office, as well as proof of spaying/neutering if applicable.

All current licenses expire April 30th.

Fees are as follows:

Male/Female $9.00
Spayed Female/Neutered Male $6.50
Dogs under 7 months $6.50
Senior citizens (65+ years – first animal only) $2.00

There is a $1.00 per month late fee charge for each month after May 31st. If you fail to license your dog, a fee of $25.00 will be issued by the East Kingston Police Department.

Please contact the Town Clerk by telephone (603-642-8794), fax (603-642-8794), or e-mail (ektctc@myfairpoint.net) if you no longer have a dog or have moved out of the Town. We will update our records so that you will not receive any future late notices or notice of forfeiture.

Residents of East Kingston:
Please note that last year, the East Kingston Board of Selectmen voted to discontinue use of the Form PA-28, Inventory of Taxable Property, therefore, you will NO longer be required to complete and return the forms to the Town.

Grange News - April 2009

Wingold Grange # 308 invites the public to our April 10, 2009 meeting to learn about Vermiculture (worm farming).  Joan O'Connor, owner of "Joan's Famous Worms", and vice president of NOFA-NH (Northeast Organic Farming Association), offers a unique way to create organic fertilizer for gardens, and reduce organic waste from your trash.

    We meet at the East Kingston Pound school (old library) at 7:30 PM.  If you are interested in attending, please call 642-5074 to make a reservation and to get directions if needed.

The Planning Board and Zoning Board of Adjustment meetings will continue to be held at the Pound School, 41 Depot Road, East Kingston, NH.

They will NOT be held at the Town Hall, when the building re-opens in the spring (April 2009).
