Road Agent Retires!

After many years of service to the Town as Road Agent it is with deep regret that we see Robert “Bob” Rossi retire. Effective July 2008 Bob decided to retire from the Town Road Agent position and seek the sunshine and ocean waters for his pleasure versus clearing roads, plowing, sanding, town road repairs and the numerous other duties.

The Selectman awarded Bob a plaque and certificate for his many years of service.

If you see Bob around town take a moment and say thank you for his many years of dedicated service to the town and wish him well in his retirement.

Road Agent Appointed!

Following the retirement of Bob Rossi the Board of Selectman held a discussion and selection process as to who would be appointed the remainder of the year as Road Agent. Bob Rossi provided past data and experience with the potential candidates. Each candidate had to return and present as to how they would provide the services required.

After great consideration to each candidate the Board of Selectman appointed Matt Gallant as Road Agent. Matt also wears many other hats within the Town such as Health Officer and Fire Dept. Captain.

Welcome Matt, and thank you for accepting the challenge of Road Agent.
