East Kingston - Rabies Vaccination Clinic - April 13, 2013

Dr. Robert Marston and the Town of East Kingston will hold its annual Rabies Clinic on Saturday, April 13, 2013, from 1:00pm - 3:00pm at the East Kingston Town Office Building parking lot, located at 24 Depot Road.

A fee of $12.00 will be charged for each animal. Any domestic animal may be brought to the clinic but must be restrained by a leash or in a cage.

Please bring the pet's most recent proof of rabies certification so that a three year vaccination can be offered. Otherwise, all vaccinations will cover a one year period.

The Town Clerk's office will also be open during this time to issue dog licenses to East Kingston residents.

East Kingston residents are reminded that April 30th is the deadline for dog owners to register their dogs with the Town Clerk.

This applies to all dogs three months and older. A certificate of rabies vaccination is required as well as proof of neutering/spaying.

Office hours are: Mon 8-5pm, Tues/Thurs/Fri 8-2:30pm and Wed (eve) 6-8pm

Absentee Ballots for Town Election March 12, 2013

Absentee Ballots are now available in the Town Clerk's Office or by mail for the Town Election to be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013.

March 1, 2013 will be the last day for the town clerk to accept voter registration applications until election day.

An absentee voter must be registered to vote in East Kingston, will be absent from Town on Voting Day, unable to come to the polls due to physical disability, or a religious observance, or an employment obligation requiring physical presence at work.

Requests must include your signature, East Kingston address, and a mailing address if different from home address. Written requests for the ballot can be mailed to the East Kingston Town Clerk, PO Box 249, East Kingston, NH 03827, or applied for in person at the Town Clerk's Office. The office will also accept faxed requests to (603)642-8794.

Completed ballots, returned in person, must be received at the Town Clerk's Office no later than 5:00PM, March 11, 2013, or received by mail by March 12, 2013.

Filing Period for East Kingston Town Offices

The filing period for East Kingston Town offices is January 23, 2013 through February 1, 2013. Candidates must be registered voters in the Town and apply in person.

The following is a list of elected positions open for the upcoming Town election to be held on Tuesday, March 12, 2013.

  • Selectman – 1 (3 yr. term ending 2016)
  • Town Clerk/Tax Collector – 1 (3 yr. term ending 2016)
  • Treasurer – 1 (3 yr. term ending 2016)
  • Road Agent – 1 (1 yr. term ending 2014)
  • Trustee of the Cemetery – 1 (3 yr. term ending 2016)
  • Trustee of the Public Library – 1 (1 yr. term ending 2014)
  • Trustee of the Public Library – 1 (3 yr. term ending 2016)
  • Trustee of the Trust Fund – 1 (2 yr. term ending 2015)
  • Trustee of the Trust Fund – 1 (3 yr. term ending 2016)

Those interested in filing may do so at the Town Clerk’s office. Office hours are:

Mon: 8:00AM-5:00PM
Tues/Thurs/Fri: 8:00AM-2:30PM
Wed: 6:00PM-8:00PM

Please note that the office will be open Friday, February 1, 2013, between the hours of 3-5PM, for any candidate interested in filing.
